Megaraptor is a giant Theropod dinosaur that lived in Patagonia (Argentina) during the late Cretaceous period, approximately 88 - 89 million years ago.
The first fossil that was found was a single sickle-shaped foot claw, 30 cm in length, and was the only evidence to what the complete animal looked like. Later, a complete front limb was discovered, and showed that this giant claw actually came from the first finger of the hand. The hands were unusually elongated, bearing sickle-shaped claws.
