Coasts

Coastal ecosystems occupy the transition zone between water and land. Their extent depends on the intensity of the wave action. Organisms found on sea beaches are marine and terrestrial organisms that occasionally visit the area to feed, rest and reproduce or organisms specially adapted to salinity and the prevailing wind conditions.
