The biggest head
Torosaurus latus lived at the end of the Cretaceous period, 68-72 million years ago. Its skull was surrounded by a frill and brought three horns. It is among the largest skulls of any known land animal, and reached 2.6 meters in length, whereas its body reached 9 meters in length. It weighed 4-6 tons. It was an herbivore dinosaur that could eat even tough plants, due to its jaws. The jaws had rows of teeth that during munching they slid on each other.
A few years ago, there was a debate among scientists whether Torosaurus is a distinct species or a mature triceratops. However, present scientific work claims that they are different species due to their external morphological differences.
