Marmot, Marmota marmota

A diurnal, herbivorous rodent that lives in all alpine regions of Europe, even in the Pyrenees. Prefers alpine grasslands up to 3,200m. It lives in groups of 2-20 individuals, digging deep and complex burrow systems.
