Greek Fir, Abies cephalonica

The Greek Fir is an endemic species to the southern Balkans. It is native to the mountains of Peloponnese and to mainland Greece. Further north, it co-exists and hybridizes with the White Fir. It can grow to 30m high and occurs at altitudes up to 1,800m.
