Lynx, Lynx lynx

A feline of the forests, occupying average altitudes of Eurasia. In Europe the distribution of the Lynx became limited in the 20th century. It feeds on small mammals and land birds, but also on larger prey such as the Red deer and the Roe deer. Hunts by ambush.
