Mediterranean Cypress, Cupressus sempervirens

The Mediterranean Cypress is indigenous to the eastern Mediterranean and Iran. It has open, almost horizontal, branches, in comparison with the cultured Cypress that has upright branches. Some trees have been recorded to be older than 1,000 years of age.
